Ceremony

We planned to have our wedding day with a twist. Our mid-week ceremony will be the July 16th 2025 in Carlisle.

We wanted to have it on this date as we will have been together 12 years exactly on this date! So it is special to us as it was our first date (and first gig!) that we spent together.

As many of our close friends and family know we have been trying to save for a house of our own. We hope you will understand how much of a challenge it is to save money to get onto the property ladder. Weddings are also a big expense for a one day event. When initially planning, we looked at Wedding venues, decorations, food, entertainment and everything else in between. The costs of things was very quickly mounting up! We have decided to strip back all the frills that modern weddings are and have gone back to the basics.

We have decided it would be more sensible on our part to have a low key, intimate ceremony for ourselves, one which will be stress free and budget friendly. We can then put those expenses of a traditional wedding towards our future endeavours instead.

So what next? Our Reception!

We want to include our loved ones with the celebrations!

We are planning a small gathering with close family and friends in our local town of Southport. We would love for you to join us in celebrating becoming husband and wife but with a no frills no fuss approach.

We would therefore would like to join us, by attending a smart casual dinner. Here we can meet each other’s family in our local town during a meal and drinks in a local restaurant. You won’t need to worry about awkwardly posing all night or dancing to bad DJ music here! It is going to be planned for the weekend of:

Saturday 19th July 2025.

We are still finalising the details to where the meal will take place, but we will be in touch with invitations and hope you can join and enjoy the time with us.
